Milele A. Coggs, J.D.

Milele A. Coggs was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Riverside University High School, Ms. Coggs attended Fisk University from where she graduated, Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Business Administration and English. Having grown up in a political family, and having served in the office of a State Senator, Ms. Coggs was drawn to the study of law and ultimately decided to attend the University of Wisconsin Madison Law School. Since graduating from Law School, Ms. Coggs has successfully managed several election campaigns and has headed the call to community service by forming M. A. Coggs & Associates, L.L.C. a consulting company specializing in politics, education, and small business development.

Ms. Coggs was barely out of Law School when County Supervisor James White hired her to manage his embattled re-election campaign. She got White re-elected and shut down the recall election fever that had gripped the County for more than a year. With M.A. Coggs & Associates receiving inquiries from candidates for U.S Senate, Municipal Court, and State Supreme Court, it came as no surprise when former State Senator Gwendolyn Moore (D) also retained her services to manage her first campaign for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Milele A. Coggs has also been involved with countless community organizations throughout the years. Growing up in one of Wisconsin’s most prominent political families and being exposed to the idea and value of a legacy of public service had influenced Ms. Coggs in her choices of community service and aspirations for public office. She sees public service as her passion and legislative office as a way to pursue that passion and assist in the improvement of the quality of life for all.

Ms. Coggs is one of the most sought after political consultants and campaign managers in Milwaukee. She is Chief of Staff to a Milwaukee County Supervisor and she continues to use her knowledge and skills to assist others as the President and Chief Executive Officer of M. A. Coggs & Associates, L.L.C.

Ms. Coggs is the recipient of many awards including the Congressional Black Caucus, Emerging Leader Award (2006); the Intercultural Interfaith Dialogue Ambassador’s Program: Dialogue International Award (2006) and the Public Allies Award (1994). She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the State Bar Association of Wisconsin.
